Michigan State Football at USC kickoff time announced for 11 p.m. Eastern Time
Kickoff is set for Michigan State's first visit to USC in 47 years.
Michigan State's first matchup against USC as conference foes finally has a start time announced. Kickoff is set for 11 p.m. Eastern Time on FOX.
The matchup marks the first in the series since the Spartans downed the Trojans in the 1990 John Hancock Bowl in El Paso, Texas. Overall, the series is tied up at 4-4, but MSU holds a three-game win streak dating back to 1987 when the Spartans downed the Trojans twice in the same season. The first was a 13-27 victory in East Lansing before meeting again in the Rose Bowl for a 17-13 MSU victory.
Michigan State is coming off a double overtime win over Boston College on Saturday night at Spartan Stadium. The 42-40 win improved MSU to 2-0 on the season with a final non-conference game against Youngstown State this Saturday set for 3:30 p.m. The Spartans will face their first road test of the season when they open Big Ten play against the Trojans on Sept 20 and will mark their first visit to the LA Coliseum since Sept. 29, 1978.
Meanwhile, USC opens Big Ten play this Saturday at Purdue. The Trojans enter that game 2-0 but generally untested with lopsided non-conference home wins over Missouri State (73-13) and Georgia Southern (59-20).
