Michigan State has received a commitment from former Notre Dame wide receiver Kaleb "KK" Smith, according to a report from On3's Pete Nakos.

Smith will have two years of eligibility remaining to play under MSU head coach Pat Fitzgerald, offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan, wide receivers coach Courtney Hawkins and the rest of the staff. Of note, Smith also played at Notre Dame while Max Bullough was on staff with the Fighting Irish. Bullough was recently hired as co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach for the Spartans.

In 2025, the 6-foot, 176-pound Smith appeared in 10 games and recorded eight receptions for 123 yards (15.4 yards per catch) and two touchdowns.

According to Pro Football Focus, Smith played 107 offensive snaps in 2025. He recorded an offensive grade of 73.3

In 17 career games played, the Frisco, Texas native has tallied 11 catches for 161 yards (14.6 yards per game) and two scores. He redshirted in 2023 and appeared in six games in 2024 as a redshirt freshman.

With Smith committed, Michigan State now has 23 public commitments for its 2026 transfer portal cycle. Smith joins fellow wide receiver Fredrick Moore, who previously played at Michigan, as transfer additions to the wide receivers room.
