Others notes:

-This is an alphabetical roster only from MSU as of press time. Numbers will be listed on the roster at a later day.

-Western Carolina transfer safety Trevaughn Martinez has joined the team as a walk-on. Martinez did not see game action at Western Carolina. He is the brother of MSU safety Nikai Martinez.

-Tarik Ahmetbasic (kicker), Alante Brown (wide receiver/kick returner) and Rodney Bullard Jr. (wide receiver) are listed on the roster, but currently in the transfer portal. Brown and Bullard are also both awaiting approval for a NCAA waiver for an additional year of eligibility for each player.

-North Carolina State transfer Kenny Soares Jr. is listed as an EDGE after previously playing linebacker at his former schools. Sources told Spartans Illustrated this was a possibility following Soares' commitment. Soares previously played under Fitzgerald at Northwestern.

-As Spartans Illustrated previously reported to its subscribers, cornerback NiJhay Burt is returning to East Lansing for his redshirt senior season and EDGE Isaac Smith received a sixth year of eligibility and will also return to the Spartans. Additionally, safety Khalil Majeed is listed on the 2026 roster as a redshirt senior.

-Redshirt freshman Bryson Williams is listed as a wide receiver on the spring roster. Williams spent time at both the wide receiver position and running back position in 2025, and ended the campaign in the running backs room.

-Despite seemingly having eligibility left, former walk-ons Ben Nelson (defensive tackle) and David Millikin (linebacker) are not listed on the 2026 roster.
