Aidan Chiles talks preparation, mindset, and trust ahead of game versus Michigan
Aidan Chiles understands the weight of the Michigan game, but is firm on preparing as normal for the Wolverines.
For Michigan State quarterback Aidan Chiles, this season has not gone the way he had hoped. After a 3-0 start to the season, the Spartans have dropped four straight and noise is beginning to increase outside the program regarding the Spartan’s lack of progress. For Chiles, that hasn’t changed how he is attacking each week.
“You get back to square one,” said Chiles. “You prepare for next week, just prepare for each week the same and go into each week the same.”
While some might be frustrated hearing that Chiles’ approach isn’t changing, to him it is trusting the process, his coaching staff, and his own preparation. When the team’s backs are against the wall, you have to trust yourself along with the teammates and coaches next to you, to do everything you all can to put yourselves in a position to win.
