Historic run ends in NCAA Tournament, but Michigan State men’s tennis leaves lasting mark
MSU falls 4-1 to No. 13 South Carolina, closing a season defined by resilience, championships, and belief

The ending came quietly, at least compared to everything that built toward it.
Michigan State’s men’s tennis season - one that reshaped the program’s place in the sport - came to a close Saturday with a 4-1 loss to No. 13 seed South Carolina in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
It was a measured finish against a national contender on its home courts, but it did little to diminish what this group accomplished over the past few months.
