Michigan State Gymnastics sweeps every event in 197.250 statement win at Jenison Field House
The Spartans posted season highs on bars and floor, and overcame injuries with lineup depth
Michigan State did not just win Sunday afternoon – it controlled the meet from start to finish, even while adjusting on the fly.
Inside Jenison Field House, No. 11 Michigan State gymnastics delivered its most complete performance of the season, posting two event season highs, sweeping all four events and earning a tri-meet victory over No. 24 Maryland and Western Michigan. The Spartans improved to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in Big Ten competition with their third straight conference win, finishing with a 197.250.

The performance came with added difficulty.
“We're finally stepping up on all cylinders, and we're still having a little bit of adversity with injuries. We had a couple more injuries the other day, so people were out (today) that are normally in. We had some of our freshmen step up and do very well, so I think they're starting to get it,” head coach Mike Rowe said.
Rowe made clear the lineup was not settled until late.
