Michigan State LB Jordan Hall reinforces his belief in his team
MSU captain Jordan Hall says "Belief is not a week to week thing" and talks about executing as a whole to be successful and turn the tide.
The Michigan State football team suffered its third-straight loss, this time at the hands of the UCLA Bruins by a final score of 38-13 at home over the homecoming weekend.
The Spartan defense struggled mightily against UCLA, which entered the game with just one win on the 2025 season, as MSU up 418 yards of total offense and allowed 38 or more points for the fourth time in six games this season.
Going into halftime, Michigan State went back to the locker room to boos from the homecoming crowd.
Junior linebacker and team captain Jordan Hall simply thinks his team needs to execute better, especially in front of the home crowd.
“We've just got to play better and execute better,” Hall said. “It is a little unfortunate to bring that performance to such a big crowd, but we just have to continue to prepare throughout the week to be able to execute in these big games.”
Even with the tough three-game losing streak, Hall noted the team is keeping its sense of belief alive.
“Belief is not a week-to-week thing that changes,” Hall said. “It is something that we have been doing since January. We still believe in the guys on this team and the coaching staff. So that doesn’t change just because we have to go to Indiana or wherever we play next. It’s a belief that something has been instilled in January and something that we are going to believe when we go to Indiana next week.”
