Michigan State retains Rustin Young after portal reversal
Former four-star tackle remains part of the Spartans’ long-term offensive line plan

Rustin Young's week ended differently than it began.
After briefly exploring his options in the transfer portal, the Michigan State offensive tackle pulled his name out and chose to stay in East Lansing, committing to a third season with the Spartans.
A team spokesman confirmed the decision to Spartans Illustrated on Friday, solidifying an important piece of Michigan State’s offensive line depth heading into 2026.
