No. 1 MSU fell 5–1 to Ohio State at Munn Ice Arena, getting outshot 39–23 and surrendering three first-period goals in a span of just over three minutes. While the Spartans won the faceoff battle 38–33, they were beaten in the areas that have defined their identity all season — puck management, net-front coverage, and defensive detail.
