
PFF Grades for Michigan State's Loss at USC
Find out which Spartans earned a passing grade
By the time the Big Ten opener for the Michigan State Spartans finally came to an end, it was well past 3 a.m. on the East Coast. It is the first time that the Green and White have tasted defeat in the 2025 season as the Trojans of USC prevailed, 45-31.
As we have done over the past three weeks, let's take a quick look at the grades for each player compiled by Pro Football Focus (PFF), starting with the offense.

The Spartans had three offensive players who graded out over 70 this weekend:
Running back Makhi Frazier (79.0)
Wide receiver Omari Kelly (77.4)
Tight end Michael Masunas (72.0)
These three players have earned consistently high grades throughout the first third of the season.
On the offensive line, center Matt Gulbin (66.0) had another strong performance. For the full season, Gulbin is the highest ranked offensive lineman on the team (82.5)
