Statement in Mackey: Michigan State’s identity win signals a March-ready team

It has been an up and down month for Michigan State men's basketball. Spartan fans have seen just about every version of this team in that span; from an inexplicable loss on the road versus Minnesota to a top-5 victory at the Breslin Center versus Illinois.

Through it all, the Spartans have showcased that they can beat anyone - but also that their margin for error is slim enough where they can lose games they have no business losing.
