Tom Izzo wasn’t interested in pretending the night looked good.
Michigan State beat Northwestern 76–66 on Thursday, but Izzo saw the same things everyone else did: tired legs, bad possessions, missed free throws, and a team that didn’t quite look like itself.
“I think we look mentally tired,” Izzo said. “And that falls on me.”
