Visitors Preview: Michigan State to host several blue-chip recruits for Boston College game
Michigan State will host nearly 50 prospects this weekend for its game versus Boston College, including several commits, five-star recruits, four-star recruits and more.
It will be a big weekend for the Michigan State football program this weekend, as the Spartans host Power Four foe Boston College in prime time on Saturday night (7:30 p.m. Eastern Time on NBC/Peacock). While the Spartans have a big opportunity to make a statement on the field this weekend, MSU also has a chance to make a strong impression on some of the top-ranked recruits in the nation.
Michigan State will host around 50 visitors this weekend, which includes several current commits, a few five-star prospects many four-star recruits and more. Let's take a look at who will be in East Lansing this week.
Official visitor: Three-star DL Frederic Sainteus:
While Michigan State already has 22 scholarship players committed to the 2026 class, the Spartans are still looking to add a couple more. One area that MSU still plans to add to is the interior of the defensive line. With that in mind, Michigan State will host 2026 three-star defensive tackle Frederic Sainteus out of St. John Neumann High School (Naples, Florida) on an official visit this weekend.
Sainteus, who is originally from Haiti, is currently committed to Florida Atlantic, but he has seen his recruitment gain a lot of steam as of late, with recent offers from Michigan State, Florida, Miami (FL.), Houston, Syracuse and others.
He visited Florida last week. The 6-foot-4, 273-pound Sainteus remains committed to the Owls currently, but MSU, Florida and other Power Four schools are pursuing.
2026 commits return to campus:
Michigan State will see eight of its 23 commits (counting one preferred walk-on) in the 2026 class return to campus this weekend. A trio of in-state four-stars (on at least one recruiting service) in quarterback Kayd Coffman (East Kentwood), wide receiver Samson Gash (Detroit Catholic Central) and offensive tackle (North Branch, Rivals four-star).
